Candy is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of South Carolina, specializing in individual psychotherapy. Before entering the counseling field, Candy served as a medic in the United States Air Force and as civilian EMS. Following this service, Candy earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Nursing and a Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from Wayland Baptist University.

Candy is particularly focused on supporting individuals struggling with depression, anxiety disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), bipolar disorder, dissociative identity disorder (DID), borderline personality disorder (BPD), addiction, and those facing significant life transitions. As a passionate advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, Candy also specializes in working with veterans, immigrants, and first-generation Americans from immigrant families. Candy additionally offers specialized services, including immigration evaluations and personality disorder assessments or screenings.

Respect, acceptance, and kindness are the guiding principles of Candy’s therapeutic practice. Believing that the therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone of successful therapy, Candy takes an integrative and holistic approach to client care. By utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities—including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBP), rational-emotive therapy (REBT), mindfulness-based practices, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), solution-focused therapy, and reality therapy- Candy tailors treatment plans to fit each client’s unique needs and goals.
